Our story, your holiday tradition

A neighborhood full of wonder.

It started inside our home in 2020. In 2021, we brought the holiday spirit outdoors—and season by season, it grew into the Schoolcraft Spectacular we share with our West Hills neighbors today.

Our Story

A Little Holiday Magic, Growing Year by Year

Before there was an outdoor display, there was a love of creating Christmas scenes at home. Schoolcraft Spectacular grew from those first indoor designs into a holiday tradition we could share with our community.

2020 · The magic began indoors

Ornaments suspended across the living room ceiling in 2020 — 2020 · Bringing holiday details into everyday spaces.

We started designing inside during 2020. A decorated Christmas tree, a festive fireplace backdrop, and ornaments hanging overhead turned familiar rooms into little holiday scenes. It was the beginning of our story: discovering how lights, decorations, and a little imagination could make home feel extra special for the season.

2021 · Taking the celebration outside

In 2021, we brought the display outdoors. What had started as decorating inside our home became something neighbors and passersby could enjoy, too. That move outside opened a new chapter for Schoolcraft Spectacular—and a new way to share our excitement for the holidays.

2022–2025 · Growing one season at a time

Over the years, we kept building on those beginnings with more festive details, lights, character-inspired scenes, and holiday music. Each season became a chance to try new ideas and create more moments for families and friends to enjoy together. Looking back through the photos and videos, you can see the display evolve while the reason behind it stays the same: sharing the joy of Christmas.

2026 · Our next chapter

This year, Mickey and his pals return with new friends for a Disney-inspired holiday celebration. We’re bringing together favorite holiday classics and original Schoolcraft Spectacular songs, singing and dancing characters, a music-synced light show, and snow bursts. Our new AI-controlled entertainment system will help sync the music with the characters, lights, and snow, giving us new ways to bring the show to life.

There’s also a festive sled picture area for a family holiday photo. Today’s Schoolcraft Spectacular is a front-yard-only display, free to enjoy in West Hills, California. Our indoor beginnings are part of our history; there are no indoor or backyard attractions for visitors.

From our first indoor Christmas scenes to the lights outside today, our favorite part is sharing it with you.
